To assist the full time Athletic Medicine staff with all duties including the prevention,evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. The goal of this position is to prepare the employee for a full-time athletic training position at the Division 1 level.
Provide care for participants of oncallstaffing intercollegiate sports under the guidance and supervision of the full time Athletic Medicine staff.Assist in the supervision of student workers.Oversee the set-up and break-down of medical supplies for team activities. Oversee the hydration of student athletes during athletic activity.Responsible for packing medical supplies for team travel.Responsible for the inventory and organization of Gatorade products.Assist with the transportation of student athletes to medical appointments. Assist with injury tracking and prevention program.Provide supplemental coverage for oncallstaffing events and tournaments.The above statements describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this classification.
